Welcome New Group Chief Executive, Nigel

We’re delighted to share some exciting news here at Trident Group as we welcome Nigel Wilson, our newly appointed Chief Executive. Our former Chief Executive John Morris, passed on the baton at the close of August 2023 after nearly two decades at the helm. John has been the guiding force, expertly navigating Trident Group through various challenges, including the curveballs thrown our way by the COVID-19 pandemic. His poised and charismatic leadership truly embodies our core belief that housing, care, and support should uplift lives in meaningful ways.

The journey to find our next leader kicked off in May, with discussions and deliberations involving our valued Board, dedicated Executive Team, and even conversations with our cherished customers. After a series of insightful interviews last week, we’re delighted to introduce you to Nigel. His strong alignment with Trident Group’s vision, coupled with his remarkable accomplishments in the housing sector and his passion for amplifying the voices of our customers, make him a perfect match for our Executive Team.

Our new Chief Executive, Nigel Wilson, expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “I am delighted to have this great opportunity to succeed John and know what a superb organisation Trident Group is, with a complete focus on its core social purpose . It feels like coming home to Birmingham and the Midlands where my housing journey began.”

Nigel Wilson officially takes on the role on 1 September 2023 but has been using his time before then visiting various sites and schemes meeting with colleagues and customers of the Group.
