A quick update from the Group Chief Executive on the current novel Coronavirus situation

Amid the developing Coronavirus situation, I wanted to take the time to reassure you of the actions we are taking as a responsible housing, care and support provider at this time.

The health of our residents, customers and our staff is our biggest priority. We are closely following the advice of Public Health England and the World Health Organisation and introducing a wide variety of measures to minimise the impact to public health. As of yet, our offices or services have not been affected by the Coronavirus.

Cleaning in our offices and services has been intensified, with our teams requested to regularly sanitise their hands, and to maintain distance when working with customers, where possible.

All our employees are being provided with additional training and in team meetings we are continuing to emphasise the importance of personal hygiene, routine hand washing and desk area cleanliness.

Any of our team members who show even mild signs of flu-like symptoms have been advised to follow the Government advice surrounding medical care and self-isolation, and we are ensuring that team members are supported fully during this time.

When any of our staff or contractors visit our resident’s and customer’s home for an appointment, they will ask at the door if anyone in the home is self-isolating. If they are, our staff will only attend to emergency situations.

If residents and customers are self-isolating and they need to cancel a routine appointment, or have an emergency to report, please call us on 0121 633 4633.

Following careful considerations we have decided to postpone our upcoming Trident Group Community Engagement roadshows across the Midlands, proactively working against any further risk of being exposed to the virus. We will announce replacement event dates in due course.

We will continue to monitor the situation and follow direction given by the Government and will take whatever action is necessary to protect the health of our residents, customers and our staff.
