Regulator of Social Housing Consumer Standards Consultation

Posted on: 19 Sep 23

The Regulator of Social Housing is currently consulting on their draft consumer standards. This follows the Social Housing (Regulation) Act 2023 receiving Royal Assent and becoming law.

These standards will shape the future for tenants, housing associations, and the wider housing sector. The standards are intended to ensure that housing associations provide decent, safe, and well-maintained homes and residents are treated with fairness and respect.

The standards have been put together by the Regulator following consultation with tenants and landlords. They are now asking for residents, staff, and anyone with an interest in social housing to give them feedback on the suggested standards and code of practice.

You can give your feedback by visiting: Consumer Standards Online (snapsurveys.com)

Alternatively, you can ask for a postal version from your Housing Officer, IMHO, or by visiting Trident House Holliday Street Office. If you live in a scheme or apartment block, reception or concierge may have a printed version. These can then be handed back and we will post them for you.

You must give your feedback by Tuesday, 17 October 2023.
