Hoarding Help

Sometimes you may feel like you cannot let go of items in your home. While holding onto things for sentimental reasons is understandable, it can become hoarding when your home and life is affected by keeping these items. Hoarding can increase the risk of pests, lower your mental and physical wellbeing as things like cooking and staying clean become more difficult, and make it so you feel less confident inviting people to your home. It can also put you at more risk of issues like damp and mould as well as the risk of fires as the items can act as fuel to the fire and make it harder to escape.

If you are struggling with hoarding, then contact our Tenancy Sustainment Officer or Housing Officer by ringing 0121 633 4633.
