PURE Project Says "Thank You" For New Technology Donations

The technology was donated by Food Standards Agency and Computers4Charity

Recently we received a fantastic donation of laptops and smart phones for the PURE Project, run by Trident Reach, meaning we can better support our customers into employment.

We were given the laptops and smart phones as part of a project organised by the Food Standards Agency and their partners Computers4Charity. The tech is cleaned, prepared, and then donated to community organisations and charities. As part of this, Helen Litherland, Executive Director of Housing, Care and Support; David Watson, Head of Support; and Shelly Howell, Inclusive Employment Coordinator, were invited along to an event to represent Trident and to receive the donations.

The donations will mean that we can support customers on the PURE scheme to access online training and emails; write CVs and job applications; as well as being contactable by potential employers and support services.

PURE is based in Birmingham and supports adults over 25 years old who require support to enter employment after facing barriers. This maybe because the person is affected by homelessness, domestic abuse, or they may have poor mental health or a disability. Our colleagues support them with education opportunities, CV and job application help, or by enhancing employability skills.

We want to say a huge thank you for this generous donation as digital inclusion is so important and makes a real difference to individuals helping them practically and also by helping to boost their confidence.
