16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence

Posted on: 25 Nov 22

Today is the start of the UN Women’s 16 Days of Activism against Gender based violence.

1 in 3 women and girls experience some form of violence in their lifetime just because they are women. This is unacceptable and Trident are proud to support the campaign – as well as provide year round support for women and girls affected by this violence.

Trident works with partners such as Birmingham City Council, South Derbyshire District Council, and Cranstoun to provide domestic abuse services to survivors across Birmingham and the Midlands. This can include emergency temporary accommodation, support in living safely in the community, as well as a specialist helpline service.

For this year’s campaign, support workers will be speaking on our social media channels about the services we provide, how to help loved ones you are worried about, and how you can support domestic abuse services.

Ending violence against women and girls should be everyone’s priority and Trident are proud to support this campaign.

If you need help or support, please call our confidential helpline on 0800 111 4223, Monday-Friday between 9am-5pm.

Always call 999 in an emergency.
