Awaab's Law Government Consultation

The Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DHLUC) released its long-awaited consultation on Awaab’s Law on 9 January 2024. Awaab’s Law introduced in the Social Housing (Regulation) Act 2023, followed the death of a two-year-old boy Awaab Ishak in December 2020 as a direct result of a severe respiratory condition due to prolonged exposure to mould within his home.
You are encouraged to take part in the consultation and give your views. The consultation will last for 8 weeks from 9 January 2024. The consultation can be found here.
