Your Scrutiny Groups Announced

23 September, 2025

In July we asked you what areas you would like Trident to focus on to improve

Many of you answered the survey and told us that the main areas you wished us to focus were our complaints and repairs service. To do this we will be launching two customer scrutiny groups to look at repairs and complaints over the autumn and winter and are looking for residents to be involved.

What is a scrutiny project?

Housing Quality Network describes resident-led scrutiny as a process where residents review and evaluate services provided by a housing provider and make recommendations for improvements. It can be used to improve housing services or other related services from the housing provider.

Scrutiny projects are generally short-term projects (lasting a couple of months) and focused on one topic with residents working with colleagues to improve the area they have chosen. There will be 5 meetings over the project and there will be some extra work to get ready for the meetings.

Join the scrutiny panel and shape the service as you want it by calling 0300 123 1113 and asking for the engagement team or emailing communityengagement@tridentgroup.org.uk. Alternatively fill in the form below.

We want new and different voices so please apply for the panel if you haven’t been involved before.

Thank you for voting

Thank you to everyone who voted and had your voice heard. Based on those response the suggested projects were ranked in this order:

  • Complaints – Ensuring lessons are learnt
  • Repairs – getting it right first time
  • Anti-Social Behaviour – Shaping a Stronger Offer
  • Estate and Communal Services – Fit for Neighbourhoods
  • Fairness and Respect to listen and act
  • Fuel Poverty and Financial Hardship offer
  • Lettings and Tenancy Ready Approach

We have taken the top two projects to be this year’s scrutiny projects. We will look at these again in the future and will ask your opinion going forward.

Interested in joining the scrutiny panel? Find out more by calling 0300 123 1113 and asking for the engagement team or emailing communityengagement@tridentgroup.org.uk.
