Trident Group grounds to be transformed by Lancashire based Greenfingers

Posted on: 02 Mar 20

Following a successful tendering process, Trident Group are pleased to announce that Greenfingers, a Lancashire based organisation who are leading experts in a wide range of horticultural and grounds maintenance services, will be providing grounds maintenance support for up to 85 Trident Group housing schemes across the Midlands.

Across a period of 3 years, Greenfingers will deliver contractual services such as grass cutting, pruning, maintenance of hedgerows, flowerbeds/borders and shrub bed areas, responsive tree works, leaf clearance, bulk rubbish removal and management of litter bins.

Greenfingers pride themselves on being passionate about undertaking work that turns green spaces into an area that is being enjoyed and utilised to its full potential, an ethos that compliments Trident Group’s vision of being a ‘beacon of hope’ for people within our communities.

The new contract win for Greenfingers also brings an opportunity for Trident residents to become a ‘Green Inspector’, a role in which residents will serve as ‘the eyes and ears’ for the Trident housing scheme they reside on, helping to make ensure that grounds maintenance is carried out to specification. The opportunity will also equip our residents with training and vital tools such as smartphones, truly making the residents a valued part of this new initiative.

Garry Brown, Trident Group’s Head of Technical Services said: “The new contract will deliver significant service improvements and save money, whilst being kinder to the environment, so it’s great news for everyone! It focuses on the priorities identified by our residents – it’s as simple as that. We have designed the new service around the feedback we received, addressing areas of concern, concentrating on what’s important locally, improving the responsiveness of the service and getting better value for money. We listened to the issues raised by residents and addressed them within the new contract. We conducted a comprehensive and robust tendering process and the bid by Greenfingers provided the best value for money, taking account of both quality and cost.”

Steve Higginbottom, Managing Director of Greenfingers commented: “This is another great contract win for the Greenfingers team. We will be sure to deliver our services to the highest possible standard and are pleased to be partnering with Trident Group. We look forward to transforming their outdoor spaces and becoming part of the new communities we will be working in.”
