Fly Tipping
Fly tipping is illegal dumping of rubbish
It harms the environment and can lead to fines or, in serious cases, prison
If rubbish is dumped on Trident estates, the cost of clearing it is shared through service charges
Please make sure bin bags are placed fully inside bins and lids are closed
Keep bin store doors shut and report any damage so we can fix it
Clean-up costs may be charged through your service charge, unless we can identify who is responsible

What you can do
Report fly tipping on Trident land as soon as possible
Include details such as the location, date, time, and type of waste
If the land is managed by another agent, use the contact details on nearby signs to report it
You can help us and the council take action by giving a witness statement if needed
What we can do
If you can give dates and times, we may be able to check CCTV for evidence
We will arrange for any rubbish to be cleared as quickly as possible
If we know who is responsible, we can take tenancy action
We can also report them to the council to support legal action
We may install CCTV in problem areas to help stop further fly tipping and gather evidence
What other agencies can do
- Local authorities can prosecute people for fly tipping where they have enough evidence.
- The police can prosecute people for fly tipping where they have enough evidence.
- If we do not have responsibility for managing the land where you report fly tipping or bin store misuse, we may need to ask the managing agent that is responsible to take action. If this is the case, we will let you know who to contact.
- If the fly tipping is on a public highway or any other public space that we do not own, then the local authority will be responsible for making arrangements to clear up any fly tipping.
