Our recent developments include:

Yardley Court

A site designed for people living with learning disabilities and/ or autism in the heart of Birmingham.

The 14 2 bedroom apartments are all built to future homes standards and designed using air source heat pumps to make them more energy efficient improving the life quality of our residents and saving the environment. The development also follows the NHS campaign to encourage people to live independently rather than in care schemes.

People with learning disabilities can be isolated from their community and have poorer health to others. Our schemes mean that we can support people to achieve their potential. One resident was supported from using food banks to becoming a Teaching Assistant. This is impressive when unemployment rates amongst people with autism is at 78%. He said: “I never give up and try to find alternate ways to get around things. I am very dedicated to started working and will put not only a positive life on myself, but to other people too.”

The site was shortlisted for the Inside Housing Development award for best supported housing development – urban category.

Aston Lane Claverly

Affordable new homes for local people in Shropshire Village

12 new properties on Aston Lane offer new social rent and opportunities for people in Claverley, Shropshire to get on the property ladder.

Rural housing has continually risen in price, being almost 40% higher than in urban areas across England. It’s been said that the house prices in rural counties are the most unaffordable outside London at an average of £309,000. With our brand-new development, it gives the local people the opportunity to find a home at an affordable price.

The new properties will be situated in Claverley, Shropshire, a picturesque and historic village near Bridgnorth. There will be a mixed tenure housing development of 12 properties (10 bungalows and 2 houses) which will be a mix of social rent and shared ownership. This opens a wide range of choices for the local people, and thereby gives them the chance to find the most suitable home that meets their needs. These buildings are supported by a Homes England grant and will be built by TC homes.

Throughout building this new development, creating sustainable and environmentally friendly housing was considered. This was done by using modern technologies and techniques such as solar panels, electric car points, modern methods of construction, and future homes standards.
