Health and Wellbeing Day brings residents and staff together at Trinity Close
On Tuesday 29 April, residents and staff at Trinity Close came together for a Health and Wellbeing Day, focused on learning, connection and looking after ourselves. The event was kindly organised and delivered by Liam Whitehouse from Nuffield Health Birmingham City Centre, and offered residents the chance to take simple but important steps towards better health.
The session aimed to raise awareness of the benefits of regular exercise and the importance of monitoring BMI and blood pressure. Understanding these measures can help people make more informed choices about nutrition and lifestyle, as well as identify early signs that may be worth discussing with a GP.
The event ran from 10am to 2pm and was free to attend, with all local residents invited to drop in throughout the day. Residents had the opportunity to ask questions, learn more about their own wellbeing and take part at a pace that felt comfortable for them.
The Trident support team at Trinity Close see initiatives like this as an important part of delivering the best possible service for residents. They are already planning to make the Health and Wellbeing Day a regular fixture, recognising the value it brings to both physical health and community connection.
Trident Team Leader , Shanelle Mcintosh was delighted by the success of the day and even took part herself. After gathering feedback from residents, she said:
“They thought it was fantastic and have been coming up to ask when the next one will be.”
The positive response from residents proved the impact of the session and shows an additional step we are taking to give the best experience for the diverse residents we have in our supported living schemes.
It was a great day focused on wellbeing, connection and self‑care, and everyone who took part loved the experience.
