STAIRs
Social Tenant Access to Information Requirement Scheme
We are making it easier for you to find out what you need to know about us as a landlord. The introduction of the government initiative STAIRs provides information about your landlord and allows you to make a request for specific performance data or information in one place.
What is STAIRs
It stands for Social Tenant Access to Information Requirement Scheme (STAIRs) and is being introduced by the UK Government to improve transparency of information for residents of social housing associations. The aim is to gives people living in social housing more rights to see information about how their home and services are managed.
Below are the key points from the new government guidance:
Key points:
- From October 2026, housing providers must share important information about repairs, safety, and how well they are doing [Phase 1].
- From April 2027, tenants can ask for information about their housing and must get a reply within 30 days [Phase 2].
- These new rules are similar to the Freedom of Information rules used by councils.
- The aim is to make housing providers more open, honest, and accountable to tenants.
Phase 1: Publishing Key Information
We have historically published our key financial information on our website to ensure our residents and stakeholders have visibility and transparency. In line with the STAIRs guidance we have compiled links to all the necessary documents here in one place for ease of reference.
